Historical fiction about the gold mines at Cherokee, California in the 1870’s and 1880’s. Cherokee was one of California’s largest hydraulic mining areas. Over 3 million dollars was taken out of the mines. This book closely follows the actual history of the area. It is a good read and will be of interest to the casual history buff and those who follow the area’s history closely.
