The 74HC164 is an 8-bit serial-in/parallel-out shift register IC designed for a wide range of digital logic applications. It is housed in an SMD (Surface Mount Device) SOIC-14 package, making it suitable for high-density circuit board layouts. The 74HC164 utilizes advanced silicon-gate CMOS technology.
